In this episode we focus on the part of the caregiver journey that can often be the hardest… letting go. Shamira has been a full-time caregiver for almost twenty years, taking care of her father and then her mother on a 24/7 basis. Now the time has come for her mother to enter a caregiving facility in order to keep up with her ongoing needs. Shamira shares the emotional conflicts, difficulties and acceptance that comes with taking this step and the importance of caregiving not just as a role, but as a continuous journey.
Special thanks to Shamira and her family
