Have a Great Idea for a Web Series?
Stories for Caregivers is looking for bold, creative ideas that explore the realities, joys, and challenges of unpaid family caregiving in Canada.
If your short-form web series concept aligns with our mission, this could be the platform—and the opportunity—you’ve been waiting for.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome proposals for short-form web series that:
- Speak to Canadian caregiver audiences
- Contain a minimum of 8 episodes (3–6 minutes each)
- Are produced in Canada and meet CAVCO content requirements
- Are either scripted or unscripted (e.g., drama, doc, comedy, lifestyle)
- Have broad appeal and potential to engage audiences nationwide
- Budget to deliver in both English and French (via dubbing or closed captioning), and include described video
First step: Apply for Platform Support
What you will need:
- You must be an incorporated company
- a 60-second pitch video
- a 2-page PDF document outlining your series idea and potential episodes
- Identify a non-profit healthcare organization that provides professional healthcare services related to your idea’s topic and is willing to provide feedback on creative materials.
