Teenage caregiver Felisha, who is supporting her father with ALS, enters the printmaking studio carrying the quiet weight of anticipatory grief. Guided by a clinical art therapist, Jenne Newman, she transforms her caregiving experience into layered prints, using ocean imagery and colour to explore her feelings of grief and uncertainty. As inks blend and images take shape, she begins to process the loss of her father while reflecting on how to navigate the shifting roles of being a caregiver. In sharing her final print pieces at a gallery, she gives form to what has been held inside and through the art, both her and her father are able to communicate deep feelings that are beyond words.
