In 2006, Michael Coss was on cloud nine as a new father to twins when he was involved in a rollover accident on the Coquihalla Highway in British Columbia, leaving him in a coma for more than six months. His parents Bob and Suzie Coss did not hesitate to pack up their lives in Quebec City and come to Michael’s side in Vancouver, supporting him as he painstakingly worked to overcome his traumatic brain injury and its lasting effects. Next to Michael would Bob and Suzie remain, looking to others around them for strength, and campaigning for government support for not just their own son, but all children in BC with a brain injury.
