Everything in Dean’s life changed after his wife Sarah was diagnosed with cancer. The additional caregiving and parenting responsibilities required him to change his job and left little time for connecting with Sarah. Attending counselling as both individuals and as a couple, has allowed them to grieve the losses they experienced and get through the most difficult times. On a sea kayaking adventure with health researcher and adventure guide, Dr. Mike Lang, Dean gains a deeper appreciation for nature and the value of good communication in caregiving relationships.
