In pre-pandemic times, Buddhist monk and scholar Khenpo Kunga Sherpa performed in-person Buddhist ceremonies. Now, due to COVID-19 he has taken his practice online, connecting with thousands via Zoom to perform ancient rituals. Khenpo advocates Buddhist-inspired practices like meditation and mindfulness for Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike to deal with the stresses and demands of caregiving especially around death and dying. He has also been able to connect with Mary Lou, a mother who has lost her daughter and who was unable to be in person at her funeral due to pandemic restrictions.
